The Pisac Inn Pisac is one of our favourite options for boutique style accommodation right on Pisac’s Main Square in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Run by Peruvian-American couple Fielding and Roman, this charming 10 room boutique Inn is a great option if you’re looking for something comfortable, cozy and just a little bit different from the norm.
Fielding and Roman met in Italy in the 90’s and decided to move back to Peru and start a family. They bought the Pisac Inn and slowly did it up little by little opening a small guesthouse. They are both strong supporters of the slow travel movement, believe in preserving the local Andean culture and traditions and are involved in a wide range of local projects that support local communities and the Andean culture. This is very much a socially responsible business with a big emphasis on sustainable tourism and protecting the environment and they will have the official TourCert Certification within a few months.
Rooms are set around the outdoor patio and are simple, spotlessly clean and decorated with traditional local weavings from the Amaru community and murals that represent the local Quechua culture. Rooms all have down duvets for those cold evenings.
The hotel itself is a protected building with adobe walls over a metre thick, has a great restaurant downstairs, a comfortable lounge area with a library and board games and a pretty outdoor terrace where you can lounge away an afternoon with a good book or enjoy a coffee.
This is a child friendly hotel that offers several family rooms and they can also help you organize tours to the various sites of interest. They specialize in offering tailor-made tours that showcase the local Andean culture through their travel agency Peru Cultural Journeys.
A great option if you’re looking for affordable, cozy, boutique-style accommodation in Pisac with a real heart!
Best of Cusco recommends:
- Ask for a room on the second floor when you book for a quieter, more intimate stay.
- Don’t miss the opportunity to have a signature treatment at their Unucha Spa – we absolutely loved the outdoor herbal bath for relaxing tired and aching muscles with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
